9 Simple and Natural Ways to Fight Hair Loss

Your health depends only on you, including the health of your hair. That’s why you can, and should, fight hair loss by yourself. Important: consult your trichologist first to find out the reason for hair loss, because it can be related to a serious disease (see the article “9 main reasons”). Only after seeing a doctor can you apply the natural methods of treatment at home. You can read about those methods in our article.

Curd and lemon

Curd is a source of healthy milk acid, and lemon juice decreases sebum production. A hair mask from those two components can help to get rid of dandruff (which is one of the reasons for hair loss).

Preparation. Squeeze the juice from half of a lemon and mix it with one pound of curd, then apply it on the hair. Wait for thirty minutes, and then wash it off with gentle shampoo.

Onion

Onion juice has a lot of sulfur. It increases the blood circulation toward follicles and speeds up their restoration. Onion juice successfully fights many bacteria which cause skin infections, dandruff, and hair loss. An onion mask for hair can be suggested, even in some specialized salons.

Preparation. Slice a peeled onion into fine pieces, apply on the skin, and then leave it for 15–20 minutes and rinse off.

Cinnamon, honey and olive oil

This recipe feels like luxurious spa for your hair. Honey is a well-known source of a variety of healthy components, while olive oil is famous for its wonderful moisturizing effect.

Preparation. Mix honey and olive oil in equal parts (2 tbsp.), add cinnamon powder (preferably freshly prepared), and then mix it one more time and apply onto your hair for 20–30 min. Attention! Besides improving the hair structure, this mask can make the color of your hair a couple tints lighter.

Lavender oil

Any natural essential oil has a complex effect on your body. Lavender oil has antioxidant, antiseptic, and antifungal properties. Lavender can fight dandruff, dullness, split ends, extra sebum, hair loss, and it also increases blood circulation and speeds up hair growth.

Important! It is not recommended to apply pure lavender oil. It has to be mixed with a cosmetic hair product, mask, or basic cosmetic oil (for example, wheat germ or almond oil).

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a home doctor. It can heal wounds, reduce dryness and irritation, moisturize, and is hypoallergenic. Aloe juice can improve hair structure, as well as prevent and reduce hair loss.

Preparation. Take several leaves, cut them and rub them on your head with the juicy side. You can leave aloe on your head for several hours, and then rinse your hair with warm water.

Coconut

Coconut milk is rich in oils, vitamins, and other healthy elements. Coconut milk is a good remedy for dry/weak hair, brittle hair, and hair loss.

Preparation. In order to make this valuable elixir, squeeze the flesh of a coconut and apply the milk on the hair and head, and leave it there for about 20 minutes (for a better effect, you can combine it with any non-aggressive hair mask). Massage your head gently and rinse with warm water.

Neem or Margosa

In India it’s called a “Holy Tree” and “Panacea”. This is a natural killer of fungal infections, viruses, bacteria, dandruff, and skin diseases.

Preparation. To feel the power of this tree, boil the leaves, blend them into a paste, and then apply on the head, rinsing it off after 30 minutes. Repeat the procedure twice a week.

Amla

This tree has many names and is considered to be one of the keys to traditional Asian medicine. Amla is widely used in cosmetology and pharmacology. Alma is a powerful antioxidant. It stimulates metabolism, fortifies blood vessels, and improves hair growth and restoration.

Preparation. Add dry amla fruit to coconut oil and reheat it until it is a black color. Cool down the mixture and apply it to the scalp while massaging the skin.

Laser therapy

The fact that low level laser irradiation has a positive effect on hair growth and restoration was discovered in the 1960s. Recently, this effect was proven by clinical studies. Now you can use a physiotherapy device, such as the GrivaMax Laser Cap. 272 diodes are built into the cap, radiating laser rays at a low intensity, positively affecting hair and head skin conditions. You can wear Laser Cap at home, outside, and even during exercising.

Taking good care of your hair, combined with the doctor recommendations, will give you a chance to have beautiful hair and enjoy life for a long time. About how to properly comb your hair read here: https://www.grivamax.com/combing-hair-correctly/.
