7 Styling Rules for Women

Don’t style wet hair

No matter how gentle you are, wet hair can’t tolerate styling, and will break easily. Give it at least several minutes to dry and then proceed to style. You should avoid sleeping with wet hair for the same reason.

Take proper care of your hair and scalp

You can’t expect your hair to shine with beauty without giving it any attention. This includes a well-balanced diet and treatment procedure – ready-made or homemade masks, balms, wraps, or rinses. Try to apply slightly warmed almond, coconut, sunflower and other vegetable oils to your hair.

Sun protection

Not only our skin and face require sun protection. You can just choose cosmetics for styling with SPF and still wear a hat to hide from the hot rays.

Choose quality tools

It could be a brush with boar bristles, a wooden or bone comb, or a plastic comb with special coatings. There are also hairdryers and flat irons from special materials and features that are supposed to reduce hair damage from styling.

Use a thermal protective spray

It will smooth your hair after drying, protect it from tangling, splitting, and damage. Thermal protective sprays provide your hair with extra care and give additional shine.

Proper drying

Remove the nozzle from your hair dryer for more even heat flow. Don’t bring the appliance too close to your hair. Try to use it on the cooling mode. If you are not in a rush, and it’s warm at home, you can just gently wipe your hair with a towel and let it dry on its own.

Avoid high temperatures when using a flat iron

Don’t turn it above 400 – the best option is 300 degrees. Try using modes with the lowest temperature. You might be surprised, but it may be enough.

By following these simple rules, you can be beautiful and your hair will not be harmed.
